I will be running an extra art class this year in Gargrave Village Hall. To find out more and to book your place. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
My teaching style is by showing you. I will demonstrate for you each section of the painting and then you will paint it yourself. I will give you instruction as you go. So that at the end of the class you will have completed a painting to take home. I also sell a few artist quality paints at the the class at a very reasonable price.
The classes are on Thursdays. We have lots of friendly socializing and cups of tea and coffee. It is a fun filled four hour class and is good to help you forget your troubles. Classes are just £15.00 for four hours. Some classes are already full so it is important to book your place first.

I am experimenting with using salt to produce some interesting effects with water colour. This is just the first stage of the painting. I have put some tree shapes in it using masking fluid. waiting for it to dry.
As from Tuesday 15th December 2014. I am very proud to be having some of my paintings displayed in the Ocean Gallery, 2 Albert Street, Victoria Street, Skipton, North Yorkshire BD23 1JD. www.facebook.com/oceangalleryskipton
Thank you to Jonathan Shaw (proprietor and well known artist) who has been very encouraging. Why not pop along and take a peak.
I have been asked to do a painting demonstration tonight for our guests pleasure here at Newfield Hall Hotel where I am joint manager with my husband Mick. I am going to attempt a new watercolour with a stormy sky and crashing Ocean waves. I am really looking forward to it and I will be posting the painting here tomorrow. Its a very hot summers day here in the Yorkshire dales so I hope my paint doesn’t dry too quickly. Fingers crossed.. watch this space…
Here is my painting from last nights demonstration. I think all the guests enjoyed it and I am very pleased with the final result. Hope you like it.
Stormy Seas in Watercolour
I have been experimenting with watercolour inks and loving the results. It took a few goes at this as the colours are very vibrant and permanent. Just sprinkle the ink cristals onto the paper and watch the colours explode. Its such fun to have ago with.
Coming Soon! I have been asked to run an art holiday in April next year in the beautiful Lake District. Please contact me for details.
I visited the Art In The Pen exhibition yesterday. A very good afternoon out meeting other artists and seeing their work. I met Sarah Garforth who runs Ramsgill Studios, Ramsgill, Harrogate. Her work is exquisite she paints in lots of different mediums. I particularly like her landscape oil paintings. You can see her work at www.ramsgilstudio.co.uk. Other artists attending were:
